[title]Everybody knows the best part of any Disney film is the villain. They're the most memorable roles! The wicked, spooky personalities that stick in our minds and any Disney fan who knows their stuff has a favourite (and knows how to replicate their signature cackle). As the October spooky season rolls around, it's time to show your allegiance. Will you stuff some fake tentacles and go full Ursula? Are your brows severe enough to pull off a good Scar? Can you use your looming height and regalness to invoke the power of Maleficent? Perhaps you're more of a Cruella or have the muscles required for a good Gaston.
ACMI is inviting you to conjure up your most villainous costume with its Villains at Home challenge, in collaboration with Disney. By paying homage to your favourite villain you could be rewarded with a Disney fan's dream prize. All you have to do is get your costume, make up and accoutrements ready, snap a devilish pic and share it on your Instagram account using the hashtag #villainsathome and tagging @acmionline and @DisneyAUNZ. The best entry will win a Disney prize pack filled with goodies from the ACMI store – the next best thing to visiting the museum IRL.
Keep your eyes peeled, Disney fans. The thrilling exhibition Disney: The Magic of Animation dates are due to be extended once we can all get out and about again. You'll soon get the chance to marvel at over 500 animation artefacts, artworks and displays before you know it. Hell, you could even wear your winning Ursula costume to ACMI, no one will judge.
