What are your February plans? If you want to kick back after work and enjoy the most fun parts of summertime in Melbourne, we’ve got something for you. Federation Square is opening a special summer zone fitted out with deckchairs and cabanas on a pop-up “beach”.
While there you can lounge around and watch eight free film screenings throughout February. See Strictly Ballroom and The Notebook on Friday, February 14, as well as The Goonies and Thelma and Louise on Saturday, February 15 on Fed Square’s huge digital facade. And what’s a summer event without ice cream? You’ll be able to purchase ice cream from Popstic from 4-8pm on Feb 7, 8, 14 and 15. If you’re after something a little more filling, Sliders on Tyres will serve up sliders on Feb 7 between 7-10pm.
