[title]Fed Square has been capturing the hearts of both locals and visitors alike for two decades with its world-class art galleries, museums and exhibitions, vibrant food and drink offerings and innovative events, firmly cementing itself as part of the fabric that makes Melbourne so great. Since its opening in 2002, the precinct has welcomed more than 100 million visitors who’ve gathered, dined, protested and partied on the sandstone cobblestones.
And October 26 marks Fed Square’s 20th anniversary! To celebrate, the arts and culture precinct will be going all out, embarking on 20 days of giveaways valued at over $3,000. Plus, Fed Square will be hosting a jam-packed line-up of events including a concert, major gig and exhibitions. BYO cake.
Be sure to check out Blak queer exhibition, A Rainbow of Tomorrows, at Koorie Heritage Trust; the NFT exhibition, 20 Years of Culture; We Will Slam You With Our Wings, an immersive and powerful work exploring girls’ inherent strength in partnership with ACMI; and A Score for Fed Square, a new orchestral work in partnership with the NGV, composed using the architectural drawings of Fed Square and performed by musicians from Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
