Time Out says

Join Bushmills and Beneath Driver Lane for an evening of whiskey and chocolate

Melburnians love the finer things in life. Good food. Fine art. Clean trams. So we’re sure locals are excited by the news that one of Melbourne’s coolest bars is opening its whisky vault and partnering with Bushmills Irish Whiskey for a very slick night out.

For one night only Beneath Driver Lane is opening up its vault for an exclusive evening pairing Bushmills Irish Whiskey with Australian chocolates. From the Vault is a very special event hosted by Bushmills’ whiskey specialist, Andy Ratcliff, who will take discerning Melburnians through tastings of five whiskey expressions. Paired alongside each whiskey will be a different handmade chocolate created by local Brunswick-based chocolatier Ratio.

Bushmills is the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, with more than 400 years of history behind the Northern Irish outpost. The whiskey is known for its smooth flavour profile, the result of using 100 per cent malt barley and a triple distilling process.

In addition to the five whiskies and five chocolates, guests at From the Vault will be treated to three cocktails made with Bushmills Black Bush whiskey, as well as charcuterie and a selection of French-style bar snacks straight from the Beneath Driver Lane kitchen.

Bushmills From the Vault event at Beneath Driver Lane is happening for one night only on Thursday, January 30 so get in quick if you’re keen – you won’t be the only one. Tickets are $75 and include all three cocktails, five whiskey expressions, five chocolates and bar snacks.
