Time Out says

A tennis inspired high tea is in Melbourne for grand slam season

Get into tennis fever this summer without actually going to the tennis, as Sheraton Hotel serves up a high tea inspired by Melbourne’s own Australian Open.

Running daily from noon to 3pm, guests can taste everything from profiteroles to mini bagels, so call up your doubles partner and wear your roomiest pants (and possibly your Dunlop Volleys).

With a menu created by pastry chef Nanda Karoonen, the themed occasion features strawberry tarts topped with edible tennis decorations and includes an Aperol Spritz on arrival. The menu also features mini bagels, zucchini and red pepper savoury muffins, profiteroles and the obligatory scones with jam and cream.

Whether you’re a tennis fan or not, this limited edition high tea may be as good as Lleyton Hewitt’s celebratory “come on”.

The event ties into the Grand Slam season and is only available until February 2.
