Something's fishy at the Westin – an all-seafood high tea, running until the first week of April

We in Melbourne love our high tea. We've had all-cheese high tea, all-chocolate high tea, and even a monochromatic high tea. Now the Westin is bringing back its nautical twist on the concept with an all-seafood high tea.

For 2021, the Westin is pairing up once again with Healesville gin brand Four Pillars for a gin-inspired menu. Savoury treats include oysters with Four Pillars Rare Dry gin and finger lime dressing, gin-salt and vinegar potato crisps served with crème fraiche and Bloody Shiraz Gin caviar, Four Pillars curry botanical scallop pot pies, cured gin-smoked salmon rillettes, kingfish scotch egg with Four Pillars gin-steamed orange marmalade, and Port Phillip Bay snapper ceviche with pepper berry. To top it all off there's even a black forest ice cream sandwich infused with Bloody Shiraz Gin for dessert. 

Skip the sparkling wine and do as the sailors do with a gin cocktail. There's the 50/50 (Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin, Lillet Blanc and orange bitters), the Changing Season Highball (Changing Seasons Gin, StrangeLove Yuzu soda, mint and lime), a classic gin and tonic complete with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and orange, and the GinTonic (the new Four Pillars Olive Leaf gin, tonic, lemon and rosemary).

If you'd rather stay home, you can bring the experience home with Providoor. The take-home pack (from $98 per person) comes with a specially designed stand you can self-assemble your treats on.

Otherwise, it's $89 per person to take part in this special high tea IRL at the Westin Melbourne. High Seas runs from Friday, February 5 to Sunday, April 4 from 11am onwards in the Lobby Lounge.
