The CBD's winter night market will be warming up your Friday nights in August
Rug up and head to the Madame Brussels Lane European Night Market this winter, where food stalls, lots of mulled wine and entertainment will be warming up your night. Every Friday across four weeks from August 4-25, Madame Brussels Lane, located just off Lonsdale Street, will transform into a European winter hotspot.
Drawing inspiration from Christmas markets in countries like Switzerland and Germany, the European Night Market will see food and drink stalls congregate to bring on the good times for the after-work crowds. Expect delicious food including Turkish gozleme from Göz City, piping hot crepes from Les Crêpes de Marion, Polish dumplings from Pierogi Pierogi, and German sausages from Bavarian Bangers.
Entry is free and there's plenty to wrap your cold hands around: sweeten the deal with a crème brûlée from the Brûlée Cart, and try some mulled wine and hot cider made by Baum's Mulled Wine Emporium (a nod to the original Madame Brussels, whose real name was Caroline Baum).
Projection art by artist Holly-Anne Buck (otherwise known as Collagism) will transform the laneway and stick around for live music and entertainment that will chase those winter blues away from 4pm to 10.30pm.
