Time Out says

Need directions, a map, some free Wi-Fi or just a place to charge your phone? The Melbourne Visitor Hub at Town Hall provides all of these things, free of charge, for visitors or Melburnians who just need a little help.

The visitors' centre at Fed Square closed in 2018 due to the Metro Tunnel works, but the replacement one just up the road is there to help you out. Red-jacketed 'ambassadors' are available to provide information about public transport and getting around the city, and maps are available to take with you.

But even if you know Melbourne like the back of your hand, there are times when your iPhone just runs out of juice, or you've hit your data limit. The Melbourne Visitor Hub is there for you, with free Wi-Fi and charging ports to get you back on your digital feet. Plus, you can even pick up the most recent copy of Time Out magazine while you're there!
