Slide into the snow season with activities for the whole family at Mt Baw Baw

It’s snow season again! To ring it in, Mt Baw Baw will be pulling out all the stops for their official opening weekend party on June 8 and 9.

Head to Mt Baw Baw on opening weekend to score free resort entry, guaranteed runs open and ski lifts turning, live music and entertainment at the Alpine Hotel as well as a local Gunaikurnai Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. Plus, don’t miss a stop at the Snowball Throw or the Archery Attack Zone.

Can’t make it opening weekend? Mt Baw Baw is pulling out all the stops throughout the snow season. Kids can head along to try free 15-minute snowboarding lessons, a refreshed toboggan experience and “official” snowball fights. Yes, Mt Baw Baw is becoming the first alpine resort in Australia to offer organised snowball fights.

Meet the Dingoes and Howling Huskies experiences starring the resort’s celebrity mountain dogs will also return for the year.

Mt Baw Baw offers 35 hectares of snow with 25 downhill runs and 10 kilometres of cross-country trails. The winter wonderland is only a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne, making it Australia’s most accessible downhill ski resort.

Plus if snow levels are sparse fear not – the resort has a snow production factory guaranteeing fresh powder in any condition.
