Time Out says

Break out your flares and boogie with the animals at this '70s disco-themed party at Melbourne Zoo

Sometimes, you don't realise what you've been missing until it stomps, slithers and swims into your life. In this case, it's a '70s disco-themed murder mystery dinner at the Melbourne Zoo.

Yep, that's right: for one night only, the zoo's Bong Su room (named after the Melbourne Zoo's oldest Asian elephant, who came to the zoo back in 1977) will be transformed into a roaring '70s disco. As guests of the party, it's your job to unleash your best Saturday Night Fever moves – and to solve the mystery of a murder on the dancefloor. Was it gang of crafty meerkats, or maybe a wily Sumatran tiger? The more we think about the entire concept of this party, the more we love it.

Tickets to the party are on sale now, and zoo members get discounts. The price includes a two-course dinner and beverages, and costumes are very much encouraged.
