Time Out says

Calling all entrepreneurs and small business owners

Maybe you’ve got a killer business idea but don’t know where to begin, or maybe you’ve already launched your dream business but are stuck for ways to expand it. Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur or small business owner, the New Beginnings Fair is an event that you’ll have to pencil into your diary.

This one-day fair and mixer is the chance to learn from Australia’s most successful start-ups, participate in creative workshops to help build your business and mingle and connect with like-minded individuals.

The event will kick off with four key speakers who are ready to share their secrets of success. The speakers include Justine Flynn, co-founder of the social enterprise, Thankyou; Aaron Smith, founder and CEO of boutique fitness company, KX Group; Susannah George, founder of city experience guide, The Urban List and Michael Ellis, Head of Culture at online wine retailer, Vinomofo.

Next up is a series of interactive and creative workshops. Here, you’ll learn PR skills from General Assembly’s PR workshop, the legalities behind starting or growing a business from Clearpoint Counsel and how to create the most shareable Facebook posts from Eight Client’s Social Media workshop.

There’ll be a Misschu pop-up café that will be serving fresh dumplings, coffee and snacks throughout the day as well as a pop-up bar, where you’ll be able to indulge at the end of a long, brain-expanding day.

Still need convincing? TimeOut readers will also receive $10 off by using the promo code ‘timeout’ when purchasing a ticket through Eventbrite or by using this link. Offer ends Sunday 14th August.
