Time Out says

One of Melbourne's best chefs pops up in one of the city's favourite restaurants for on night only

If you missed the Ramblr chef's stint at the Dark Mofo supper club this year, don't worry. You're getting another bit of the apple when Nick Stanton takes over the Supernormal Canteen kitchen for one night only. Tickets to this seven-course feast are $85 per person, and seating in limited for this night of smoking, things on sticks, and winter booze.

The menu kicks off with Stanton's bug roll, followed by native Angasi oysters. Next, kingfish with pickled daikon and burnt butter. This is when you get to the part where food comes on sticks (everything tastes better on a stick) with chicken thigh seasoned with shiso and yuzu kosho for that spicy citrus kick, and king brown mushies. What's an Asian feast without noodles? In this case you're getting a Chinese Bolognese and a super ramen, which is a mix of Stanton's shoyu ramen and Supernormal's yuzu ramen.

And somehow we haven't got to the main feast yet – it involves a whole roasted poussin, with glazed eggplant and Asian greens, followed by banana wit fired ice cream and caramel for dessert.

There are only two sittings and this is a one time only deal so book a seat and make Monday night something to look forward to.
