Time Out says

Take in the glamour of the 1920s at this historic Melbourne mansion

If you've ever read The Great Gatsby or watched Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, you've no doubt salivated over the heavily beaded silks and velvets or the feathery headdresses. The 1920s and 1930s was no doubt a great time for fashion and you can see it all in its well-preserved glory at the National Trust of Australia's Night Life exhibition at Rippon Lea House and Gardens.

Night Life exhibition at Rippon Lea House and Gardens

The exhibition features more than 50 outfits from one of the best times in Victoria's fashion history. As the name suggests, Night Life is focused on the evening wear from the era, which has been impeccably preserved to give us a glimpse of what life was like in flapper decades.

Throughout the exhibition's duration, Rippon Lea House will host a series of events including Gatsby-themed soirees, fashion high teas, talks, design workshops and more. For a complete run-down of events, head to the Rippon Lea House and Gardens website.
