They are companions, cuddlers and confidents, and now the City of Stonnington will be devoting a whole day your animal friends. Pets in the Park will see Central Park transform into and pet lover's haven for one day only with treats, showcases and, of course, plenty of animals.
You can parade your prized pet, be it furry, feathered or scaled, with other proud owners. There will also be the chance to enter your loyal four-legged companion 'best dressed' and 'best trick' competitions.
Some seriously talented animals will also be making an appearance, including the dynamic Four Paws Sports team and the good boys from Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs.
There will also be critter encounters with the Rookeepers, presentations and demonstrations by animal experts, plus stallholders offering animal products, services and welfare information. Channel Ten’s Mike Larkan will return as host and animal expert and celebrity vet Dr Melissa Meehan with be on hand for a special Q and A panel.
All pets are welcome, but you need to keep them secure.
