Time Out says

What in carnation would keep you from stopping by this evening of plants and ale?

Not everyone is cut out for horticulture. Some of us are just glad someone remembers to regularly water the house plants. But fir those of us who do have green thumbs, there are entire groups of people dedicated to keeping plants alive (other than gardeners).

On Tuesday, February 19 Brunswick bar Howler is holding a little shindig where yew can learn about all things green and growing. Plant Tales and Cold Ales combines two of our favourite things (plants and beers) as well as delicious plant-based eats.

There’ll also be speakers joining for a panel, including Jason Chongue (plant cultivator, architect and author of Plant Society), Plant Mama (a plant designer—yes, that is a real job), David Irwin (co-founder and distiller for Patient Wolf Gin) and Nick Casey (formerly a landscape gardener, presently the Howler Theatre’s curator).

The evening will kick off at 6pm and run until 8.30pm, with tickets coming in at $32.74.
