Time Out says

Local puppeteers A Blanck Canvas are lighting up Williamstown with giant, glowing puppet shows

One of Melbourne's leading puppetry companies, A Blanck Canvas, is bringing a little whimsy and wonder to Williamstown this May. During lockdown, the company (who are behind some of the most beloved White Night puppets such as the Messenger) established a new performance hub called the Playground at Seaworks Maritime Precinct in Williamstown – and now the team are ready to open it with a magical after dark event called Puppet Mayhem.

Head down to Seaworks on Saturday, May 15 to admire giant, illuminated puppets such as the Guardian (a ten metre-long crystalline lion) as well was see performances and activations. The event is all-ages friendly (with more adult performances happening in the Pirate's Tavern) and there's an on-site bar for anyone fancying a drink. Expect a festival atmosphere complete with stilt walkers, live music, puppet shows and giant flies and spiders performing aerial acts.

Tickets for Puppet Mayhem start at $20.
