It’s murder on the dancefloor at Rippon Lea Mansion -- one of the heritage listed properties owned by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria). On March 7, join a bunch of indie sleaze-clad guests for a fun night out, including: dancing, feasting and exploring the estate’s lush ballroom and gardens.

Fans of Saltburn will remember the iconic scenes that take place during Oliver’s birthday party at his formidable family estate, which is what this night out is inspired by. We hope that it’s not too similar to film though, as we all know how that ends. Gulp.

Start the night off with Murder on the Dancefloor dance class led by renowned choreographer Neville Parry at 7:30pm and channel your inner Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Throughout the night the mansion will echo the songs you know and love from Saltburn. Sorry, there is no really no avoiding Mr Brightside in this economy.

The best part of this event is that you can bring your own food and drinks for the night, and make it the most extravagant picnic you’ve ever had with friends. Plus, there will be a bar set up to order your drinks and you have the option to pre-order a picnic hamper based on your dietary preferences.

Tickets for this one-off event are limited and $25 per person, which you can find here. It’s also worth checking out the Rippon Lea Estate in your own time, as it’s a fantastic piece of Victorian heritage. Read more about it here
