Time Out says

Make your cheese dreams come true with melted raclette, mulled wine and marshmallows in your own private igloo

If the mere thought of cheese has you feeling all warm and gooey inside, then you'll be thrilled to hear that Melbourne is hosting a magical pop-up experience exclusively dedicated to melted cheese. From May 19 to June 11, Fed Square Skyline will transform into a winter wonderland complete with 14 private igloos for parties of six to eight people.

Raclette is more than just melted cheese – it’s the perfect excuse to cosy up with your nearest and dearest around the fire and take in breathtaking views of Melbourne’s skyline. Each igloo is decked out with a fire pit, twinkling fairy lights and a hot raclette grill to melt the 1.8kg of cheese you’re provided. Take note from your French friends and melt it over a selection of premium cured meats, boiled potatoes, onions and pickles, and pair it with the spiced warmth of mulled wine.

In true campfire tradition, you and your friends will also get a giant skewer of marshmallows to roast. Relive your childhood dreams as you watch the marshmallows turn golden brown and ooze with melted goodness.

You’ll feel right at home in this winter wonderland with comforting food, and warm and welcoming French service. Pre-bookings are already open with 5pm, 7pm and 9pm sessions from Wednesday to Sunday, plus 11:30am and 1:30pm sessions from Friday to Sunday. Until Sunday 16th of April, a private igloo can be yours with a deposit of just $99.

Experience the tradition of melting your own cheese at Raclette Igloo by booking here.
