This Saturday, June 9, local favourite the B.East is bringing Ribfest to the hungry masses.
Kicking off at noon, this one-day festival will celebrate all things booze, bands and ribs. Take your pick from 48-hour slow cooked beef short ribs with Memphis barbecue and rib dust, chargrilled maple and thyme lamb ribs, southern fried buttermilk chicken ribs with roast shallot ranch, or dry-rubbed pork spare ribs with pineapple and dark rum glaze.
The bar will be selling Barrow Boys beers and turning Jack Daniel’s Fire, Honey and Old No. 7 into redskin firetails and white chocolate sours, all the while rocking reggae outfit El Moth will provide sweet tunes late into the night.
Food is served from noon, and bands start rocking at 10pm. We suggest wearing dark clothing – things are bound to get messy.
