Time Out says

The RSPCA is lowering adoption fees to $29 this weekend to help hundreds of animals find a forever home

What do Comet the kitten, Wilf the puppy, and Sheepy the sheep all have in common? Aside from being totally adorable, they're all also in need of a new home. And during this weekend's Clear the Shelters adoption drive, the RSPCA is lowering adoption fees to $29 to encourage prospective "parents" to take home a furry (or woolly) new family member.

In Victoria, the RSPCA has hundreds of animals available for adoption including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, sheep and horses. The Clear the Shelters adoption drive was so successful around the country last year that 90 per cent of the animals in the RSPCA's care were rehomed. But some of them, like Zeus the American Staffordshire terrier, are still looking for their forever homes. Here's hoping that this will be Zeus' lucky year!

If you're keen to adopt, not shop, visit adoptapet.com.au to see all the cute animals that are available. When you find one you love, pre-register online so you can bring your new BFF home as soon as possible and start cuddling STAT.
