Aye, it’s that time of year again. Bendigo’s annual Scots Day Out event is back this year to celebrate Scotland and all its wonders. The city will take on a distinctly tartan aesthetic as clans, dancers and pipe bands parade down View Street and take up residence for the day in Rosalind Park.
Feast like a true Scotsman with whisky tastings, traditional buttery shortbread and haggis for those who like their meals boiled in the stomach of a sheep. There will also be highland dancing, Celtic music, clan displays, activities for the wee bairns and lots and lots of bagpipes.
Scots Day Out is a free event, so grab your kilt and sporran and unleash your inner William Wallace.
