Time Out says

Hop on board and learn how to love fashion and the environment

Around 6000kg of textile waste is thrown away every ten minutes in Australia and much of that waste comes in the form of clothes. Fast fashion is a major contributor to landfill but it is still possible to look fabulous and treat the planet with respect.

You can learn how to do exactly that on the Slow Fashion Bus Tour happening as part of Fuse Festival. The tour is run by professional mender Erin Lewis-Fitzgerald and fashion stylist Jenna Flood who will take guests to their favourite op shops and mending supply stores, while also teaching them about sustainable fashion.

The idea behind the tour is to encourage the community to engage in more conscious consumption of fashion – by either buying good quality clothing that will last, buying second hand and repairing clothes where possible instead of tossing them away.

Better yet the Slow Fashion Bus Tour is free to attend, but spots are limited and registration is necessary. The tour meets at 10am, March 28 outside Preston City Hall.
