The Thai "full moon" parties of your youth have gotten a classy upgrade at Red Spice Road. For one night only, the laneway restaurant (and one of Melbourne’s favourite places for pork belly) is trading in their regular dinner service for an Asian hawker-style market party with music, live entertainment, an unlimited three-hour drinks package and lots and lots of delicious south Asian food.
The Lantern Party at Red Spice Road is set to be one mighty sensory experience as colour, scents and flavours combine in this riotous celebration of Southeast Asian food and culture. The Red Spice Road team aren’t holding anything back at this party – expect an array of dishes to sample at the various food stations as well as from the roaming selection of small bites, like filled betel leaves and our personal favourite, ‘a bite on a stick’ (that is tender, skewered meat from the satay station).
Included in your party ticket is a three-hour unlimited drinks package so you can pair your feast with a tipple from Dal Zotto Wines, Moon Dog Brewing and Twenty Third Street Distillery. And because atmosphere is everything, Red Spice Road have enlisted a host of performers to entertain diners with traditional lion dancing, martial arts demonstrations, as well as killer tunes from a DJ.
