Party like it’s 1999 at the Local Taphouse’s '90s House Party on New Year’s Eve. Dig out your parachute pants, your butterfly clips and your flannelette shirts and prepare to let loose to the best grunge and rap from the 1990s.
From noon the rooftop bar will be open to sling beers and pump tunes. If you’re a Taphouse local you’re probably here for beer and as usual you’ll have 20 different brews on tap. The Taphouse’s full food menu will be available to soak up the brews as well – try the grilled halloumi with prosciutto.
Beer prices will be discounted for a limited time on the night with ‘90 minutes of '90s prices’ from 7 to 8pm. Relive your former SNES prowess with Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter II as a knockout tournament will run from 7pm with prizes (beer) for the grand champion. And we’re serious about digging out your old '90s clothes because there will be prizes for the best dressed (more beer). There’s no cover charge so you can come as you are.
