Ever since Saw-inspired escape room Hacksaw opened up in Hawthorn, Melburnians have been flocking to try their luck and see if they can make it out alive. What’s more, this grizzly challenge has become the venue’s most popular and highly rated experience. We even took the Time Out team to try it and gave it a rating of 5/5 for fun, creativity and atmosphere.

Now Rush Escape Game, the masterminds behind Hacksaw, are launching an extra pop-up location in Richmond to keep up with the high demand for this gruesomely entertaining experience. It’s exactly like the original Hawthorn location, just with more spaces to make sure no one misses out on checking out the creepily designed rooms and creative puzzles.

Hacksaw stays quite faithful to the film that serves as its inspiration, so if you’re a horror movie fanatic you’ll be in for a serious treat. You’ll start off chained up just like in the film, and the set design is not for the faint of heart.

The Richmond Hacksaw pop-up is now open, but it’ll be sticking around for a limited time only. Bookings are essential and spaces are capped, so head to the Rush Escape Game website to secure your spot before they sell out.
