Taste the best of Victoria’s southwest at this two-day food and wine festival

The greater Geelong area is hosting a weekend of gourmet food and wine this November. Toast to the Coast is the region’s long-running festival celebrating the tastiest treats produced on the Surf Coast, Moorabool Valley and Bellarine Peninsula (arguably Victoria’s best peninsula).

Across November 2 to 3, Toast to the Coast will have visitors eating and drinking the best of the region, with more than 25 local wineries participating in the festival. Taste the best drops from the likes of Scotchmans Hill, Terindah Estate and Basils Farm to name a few. This year will take a slightly different format to previous years. Day one is still dedicated to exploring the best local wineries, while day two brings a large selection of those wineries to the pier in Geelong. It's a great solution for those who are less mobile.

Highlights of the two-day festival include:

- Tutored natural wine tastings at Lethbridge Wines

- A whole farmyard of animals to meet at Basils Farm (including baby doll sheep and llamas)

- Moscato Mojitos at Leura Park

Designated drivers need not miss out either, with their valued sacrifice earning them a free drink at each venue on day one of the event. Or skip the hassle of driving altogether by purchasing a hop on-hop off shuttle bus ticket with entry.
