Drive past the grassy plains of the Werribee Open Range Zoo until you see vineyards and you’ve arrived at Shadowfax Wines, a boutique winery located just 30 minutes from Melbourne.

Shadowfax Winery is reopening Friday October 6 after extensive renovations, which means they’ll be slinging their signature sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, chardonnay, pinot noir and shiraz varieties alongside a new menu and new look.

Swirl, sniff and sip your way through a range of wines available at Shadowfax's cellar door and enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired lunch care of the winery’s restaurant. All menu items are designed to complement the Shadowfax’s wine list, including charcuterie, wood fire pizzas, sweets and locally-sourced cheese from across the state. Plus, if the weather’s nice, there’s a special picnic menu that’s perfect for sharing on the sunny front lawn.

The cellar door is open every day from 11am, and on weekends, you can enjoy your lunch at the restaurant accompanied by live local music. Bottoms up!
