Has the onesie's time been and gone? Not according to artist Adele Varcoe, who will lead a series of workshops for people to design their own onesies.
Arts House will have 500 onesies available in a range of sizes, and participants will be encouraged to jazz up their onesies however they wish. The venue will become a 'sweatshop', with a team of people at the ready to turn the designs into tangible garments. Varcoe aims to explore the relationship between fashion and social interaction with the project.
Participants must wear their onesies out of the the space and are encouraged to wear their creations for the rest of the day – and maybe even to bed.
The event is free and is wheelchair accessible. It will be Auslan interpreted on March 16 from 4-8pm and will include audio description on March 23 from 4-8pm.
