Time Out says

Here's your chance to taste wines from up and coming local winemakers

Young Gun of Wine is an event for the self-confessed wine nerd. The competition picks out the 50 best young and emerging winemakers around Australia, and you can join in on the festivities on April 13, when the finalists will be celebrated.

On the day of the event, each of the top 50 winemakers will present two wines for guests to try. We're no math geniuses, but that makes a whopping 100 wines you can taste, so you better get those glasses ready.

The top 50 young and emerging winemakers were chosen by a judging panel of wine experts after a two-day tasting from 150 candidates. As well as an excuse to taste test more wine than you can probably drink, the event is a great way to spot the latest trends in wine, as well as living proof that winemaking is a viable career option for young people interested in all things grape.

To fortify you through the day, pop-ups from Matilda restaurant and Prahran Market favourites Maker and Monger and Q le Baker.

Early bird tickets are $55 and include all wine tasting and a Riedel glass to take home with you.
