We get it: Finding a NYC neighborhood that fits your family's needs isn't always the easiest. What if there was a way to determine the best spots for your crew without any hassle?

Enter StreetEasy, the search engine for apartment listings in NYC, which just released a new report on the best neighborhoods to raise a family in NYC. So, how did StreetEasy get its data? The company used criteria such as:

- The amount of apartments in the neighborhood with two or more bedrooms

- The amount of homes containing kids under 18

- The performance score of schools

- The median asking rent in each neighborhood

After taking all those factors into account, the very best neighborhood for families is—drum roll, please—Greenwood, Brooklyn!

The lovely neighborhood scored a perfect 10 with highly-ranked schools, 62 percent of apartment listings containing multiple bedrooms and 24 percent of households having kids. This means there will be plenty of other young ones for kids to befriend at the playgrounds! Speaking of playgrounds, Greenwood is just a short 30-minute walk to Prospect Park, which contains lakes, a zoo, botanic garden and 526 acres of space to run free. And the best part? The median asking rent for a two-bedroom apartment is $2,350, which is a couple hundred below the average asking rent for the borough.

Other Brooklyn neighborhoods to make the list of the top 10 include Carroll Gardens, Columbia Waterfront District, Red Hook, Dyker Heights and Bath Beach. Several Queens neighborhoods were also considered great picks for families with Ridgewood and Bayside offering spacious apartments well below the borough-wide median asking rent of $2,200 for a two-bedroom apartment. Auburndale earned the second spot in the rankings due to nearly a third of households having kids under 18, a high density of apartments with multiple bedrooms and low rent prices.

Tell us what you think! Do these results hit the mark? Which neighborhood do you think deserves the top spot?
