Parents hoping to join in on Oktoberfest fun this year won’t have to rush to book a babysitter. Bierhaus NYC opens its doors to families Sunday afternoons through October 15 with its Kidtoberfest event and looks to be an awesome time for all ages. While the kiddos eat for free and play games, the grown-ups can enjoy any of Hofbraü’s seasonal brews on tap!

Kidtoberfest will take place every Sunday from 1pm to 3pm except on Oct 1 when it’ll run from noon to 2pm. Activities for pint-sized patrons include face painting, coloring, temporary tattoos, cookie decorating, board games, giant Jenga and jamming along with a live accordion player. Children 10 and under eat free and can stuff their faces with delicious dishes like Spätzle Kids Alfredo, Schnitzel Fingers, hot dogs and fries. Meanwhile, the [much] older set can go in on giant 100-ounce mimosa towers and an unlimited do-it-yourself Bloody Mary bar. Just be sure to leave room for pork chops, wursts, sandwiches and other hearty dishes in between all those biers.

We strongly recommend booking a reservation ahead of time because Kidtoberfest is bound to be a popular event with other families eager to join in on Oktoberfest fun. Afterwards, celebrate the beginning of the autumn season with fall activities for kidsharvest festivals and apple-picking near NYC.
