Gotta go? This app helps you find and reserve NYC bathrooms

The potty can be a parent's best friend or worst enemy.

Somehow, when you only have a few minutes of commute time, your little ones will gladly tinkle before leaving the house. However, when you're stranded in an unfamiliar part of the city, blocks away from your destination, you'll undoubtedly hear the dreaded phrase: "I have to go potty." Curse the potty!

Finding a restroom in NYC is quite the uphill battle, especially when time if of the essence. Last summer, Rockaloo made its debut and allowed users to reserve private bathrooms on the fly. Now, it looks like the city's restaurants, bars and other venues are still looking to earn a few extra bucks by renting out their amenities (namely bathrooms).

According to The New York Post, Luluapp is a new mobile app that will direct those in need of the potty to the nearest available bathroom. The app has roughly 100 venues signed up, according to The Post, although the names have not been revealed. It is set to make its debut this summer.

It could certainly be lifesaver...but it'll cost ya. Users will have to pay anywhere from 99 cents to $5 for the use of a bathroom. But in the grand scheme of things—when holding it becomes more and more unlikely—will parents fork over the cash?

If downloading apps like Luluapp and Rockaloo aren't for you, try your luck at the nearby coffeeshop and hope for the best. No matter how you approach this potty problem, make sure your little one goes before leaving the house. May the force be with you, parents.
