LEGO lovers' dreams will come to life this weekend.

Budding architects and engineers should mock up their blueprints for the LEGO Architecture community build event at the Park Slope Barnes and Noble on Saturday. At 6pm, attendees will be invited into the store to help create its new display—a project for your kiddies to add to their growing résumé.

With the help of one of the latest LEGO architecture structures, tiny Brooklynites will get a taste of China and try to replicate the city of Shanghai with their blocks. It'll certainly be an intricate undertaking, but one that youngsters will be ready to tackle. Just think of the wonders that await when the final product is revealed.

Before you and your family make your way into Brooklyn, don't forget that there is another LEGO-tastic event happening this weekend. The Scandinavia House will feature a new exhibit, "LEGO Bricks: A Celebration" in celebration of the building blocks' 60th anniversary. One-of-a-kind artist Sean Kenney will display his work, and it's not to be missed (trust us, if your kids like to build, Kenney will be an inspiration). The exhibit will run through Aug 4. To ring in the occasion, there will be a party starting at 3pm on Apr 28 that will feature live music, snacks and of course, fun ways to play.

It sounds like these events are the building blocks of a great weekend in NYC!
