Update: American Dream Mall, which is home to Nickelodeon Universe, will reopen to the public on Oct 1, 2020.
There's a lot happening across the Hudson.
Jersey's been garnering time in the spotlight thanks to the opening of American Dream Mall on Oct 25. The $5 billion project boasts more than just stores: It's home to an NHL-sized rink, a DreamWorks Water Park (coming later this year), the nation's first indoor snow park (also slated to open later this year) and of course, Nickelodeon Universe, among other entertainment offerings.
You're going to want to hop aboard the attraction's new ferry service and make your way to what is now considered the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere (just make sure SpongeBob's not behind the wheel).
This highly-anticipated new kids' amusement park has over 35 features to enjoy, including: Dora’s Sky Railway, a magic carpet ride titled Shimmer & Shine Jumping Genies, the Rugrats Reptar Go-Round and so much more. Essentially, the best cartoons for kids are being celebrated in this massive fun zone, and we're stoked.
Here's a look at the fun you can expect! (Note: Special preview tickets are available online from Oct 28–Nov 7 for $39.99 and $49.99 for All Access.)
