Want to stargaze with astrophysicists and mingle with astronauts? Now's your chance.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is holding its first-ever Virtual Astronomy Live on Friday, April 24 from 2–3:30pm. This event commemorates 30 years of the Hubble Space Telescope, the first major optical telescope to be launched into space.

Your guides make up (a-hem) a star-studded lineup: Among the attendees are former astronaut and NASA chief General Charles F. Bolden Jr, former astronaut Professor Mike Massimino, engineer and former astronaut Nicole Stott, astrophysicist Frank Summers and others. Virtual Astronomy Live will be led by Summer Ash, a rocket scientist and astrophysicist, and Summer Ash, and John “Das” Galloway, creator of the Kerbal Space Academy and host for NASASpaceflight.com.

Here's how to access the free live-streaming event:

Visit kerbalspaceacademy.com to take a peek. The pros will discuss the wonders of the cosmos, and they will also talk about what it takes to live in space—it turns out there are some similarities between working in isolation on the International Space Station and trying to keep it professional on Zoom while parenting at home.

The fact is, there's so much cool stuff online that will engage, entertain and educate your family while you're at home. From taking actual Hogwarts classes, to streaming virtual storytimes, to working out with these fun online fitness classes for kids, you can make staying in more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
