It's no secret that there are plenty of things to do with kids in NYC, but sometimes it's tricky to find a common ground for parents and tykes.

But a new Tribeca destination is set to open on May 12 with the hopes of embracing creativity and community for everyone in your brood. The Wonder, an 8,000-square-foot space, is the brain child of two moms who are looking to engage with multiple generations at once.

"One way that we did this was to build all of our programing through the lens of culture so that it is fun and imaginative for kids, but also has another layer for parents," says co-founder and CMO, Noria Morales, who opened the business alongside founder and CEO, Sarah Robinson.

If you're looking to keep the littles active and engaged with their friends, there are plenty of options to choose from at one of the newest kids' play areas in NYC. Expect slime-making workshops, book clubs, play dough classes, an indoor play space—currently sporting an intergalactic "Retro Future" theme—and much so much more. Don't be surprised if the kiddies request a visit multiple days per week.

And then, there's the adult component, which will help The Wonder nail a spot on your list of favorite family attractions in Gotham. Moms and dads will be able to enjoy booze and board game events, a respite in the café (which will serve coffee and adult beverages) and of course family-focused programming such as disco nights and craft nights.

"We are a destination dedicated to making it easier for the entire family to have quality time together," Robinson says. "We want to be a place our members can always turn to—for after school classes, a family game night or a Saturday morning in our play space."

Curious about the layout? In The Wonder, you'll find a cozy book nook, a play space and more. It's almost like a cross between your favorite indoor playground and your living room.

"Beyond programing we focused on adding the amenities that count for parents, all in one place," Morales says. "Some of these include an all-day cafe where you can order both a grilled cheese for your child and a glass of wine for yourself, a serene nursery for feeding or pumping and stroller detailing in partnership with Dyson to clean up all those fossilized Cheerios."

Excited to check it out? We can't blame you! The Wonder is open seven days per week from 8am–8pm and costs $450/month for membership. Visit thewonder.us for more info on the super-cool space!
