Who wouldn't want to take a trip to the Island of Sodor—especially when it makes for the perfect family getaway.

This summer, Kennywood Park in Pennsylvania will introduce the country to its second permanent Thomas attraction, which will be based on the beloved Thomas & Friends TV show. Now more than ever—considering  sneak previews of the attraction have surfaced—we are going to need a train ticket. All aboard friends, it's time to start planning that vacation!

According to USA Today, Kennywood is going to attract fans big and small, thanks in large part to its new ride aboard a train, which will be led by a full-size replica of our buddy, Thomas. This ride will bring the historic Olde Kennywood Railroad site back to life and take park-goers along the old routes.

But of course, there are plenty of other things to look forward to once Thomas Town makes its grand debut (July 27). There will be four other rides based on beloved characters, an indoor play space for little ones and even a show. Once the train leaves the station, there's no stopping this family fun.

Can't wait until the summer for your favorite locomotive? Not a problem—Thomas & Friends: Explore the Rails will be on view at the Liberty Science Center until May. In March, Thomas & Friendswill make a track change from its long-standing home on PBS and head to Nick Jr., so he'll be arriving right in your homes before summertime, and there's a lot to look forward to with his arrival.

“The brand is undergoing a huge evolution to ensure that it remains relevant and competitive for today’s audiences,” Kate Schlomann, vice president and global brand general manager of Thomas & Friends, said according to Variety. “We are taking Thomas off Sodor for the first time in our episodic series, evolving our storytelling to be more inclusive, meaningful and entertaining.”

Who else is ready for a Thomas-filled summer?
