Deep Purple Pool Hall

Pool halls might be something you associate with dive bars, sticky floors and Harley Davidson lampshades, but for ten glorious days during the Vivid festival we get to play pool in one of the most beautiful locations in the city; the Sydney Opera House. And we're not talking the Concert Hall here. The deep purple pool tables take up temporary residence in the Concert Hall Northern Foyer of our most famous live music venue so that you get harbour views while you're lining up your shot. It wouldn't be a real pool hall without a stiff drink, and nobody knows more about good time boozing than the teams from Tio's and the Cliff Dive, who dreamt up the speakeasy bar serving small batch beers and boutique Australian wines. If you get a bit stressed out weaving through the crowds out to see the Vivid Lights displays, the Deep Purple Pool Hall is your oasis, but it's got a strictly limited run so don't miss your chance to sink the eight ball in Sydney's home of opera.
