In the past, being branded a teetotaller felt like slander. Nowadays, the conversation around being sober or sober-curious has shifted to ideas that are widely accepted, commended and even celebrated.

Leaders in the zero alcohol space, Heaps Normal, have launched a brand new initiative and it’s asking you to completely alter your interpretation of what a ‘pub’ should look like.

Enter: Heaps Normal’s Health Club.

Situated in a Marrickville warehouse (naturally), the Heaps Normal Health Club looks like your average trendy inner west pub set-up, except it’s designed to make you feel less seedy and more bright-eyed.

You can wet your whistle with some liquid gold Heaps Normal brews on tap, and for those looking to imbibe, there are drops from Grifter, Philter and Doom Juice natural wines. Elsewhere in the space on Brompton Street, you’ll find a dance floor, a stage for entertainment and plenty of space to catch up with friends and patrons alike.

And now, the Health Club is open permanently, with regular hours for you to come have a drink and make a night of it without the hangover.
