No one likes Valentine’s Day, not even coupled up lovebirds, but if the thought of February 14 makes you want to find a date and fast, there is help at hand. One of our favourite matchmakers in Sydney, Dear Pluto, is hosting a Tuesday night dinner and dating event in Barangaroo.
It’s one of those old-fashioned dating nights where figuring out if you’ve got a connection is down to you, not an algorithm. Tickets are available via a ballot to make it as fair as possible, however, the $45 price gets you one drink per person per venue and food.
It kicks off with cocktails and whisky at Bel & Brio and Shirt Bar, before moving on to Banksii, Anason and Zushi. There’ll be plenty of chance to work the room at each stop off location and if things are going well there’ll be after-drinks at the new rooftop venue, Untied. There’s even a $300 Valentine’s Day dining voucher up for grabs in a competition on the day.
