There’s no need to scour through the long list of venues involved in AEDMO – we’ve rounded up our favourite spots to get all the access and rewards with an Amex Card…

Catalina

Harbour views don’t get much better than from a table at Catalina. Perched on the water in Rose Bay, this lnstagram-worthy restaurant has been welcoming Sydneysiders for more than 30 years, serving up relaxed elegance with a side of coastal air. The menu is just as impressive as the views, with high-quality Aussie produce combined with Mediterranean and Asian flavours. Spend your next sunny day at this fine diner and redeem exclusive rewards when you settle the bill with an Amex Card.

Sokyo

This glitzy Japanese restaurant has the five-star tick of approval from the Time Out team and is arguably one the most impressive sushi counters in Sydney. The only challenge is landing a seat. If you can pull it off, opt for the omakase-style experience where you hand the reins over to the chefs. You can snag a discount here this AEDMO.

Nick & Nora’s

Take the elevator up to the 26th floor above the modern Skye Suites apartment tower in Parramatta and you’ll step into the glamorous, Art Deco-style cocktail and Champagne bar Nick & Nora’s. This place offers up sweeping views, old-world glamour, smartly dressed bartenders and an unbeatable drinks menu. While any time is a good time to visit, head there during May and Amex Card Members will work their way around the theatrical cocktail menu for a fraction of the price.

The Blue Door

If you like your fine dining to come with a sustainable ethos, make a beeline for The Blue Door in Surry Hills. It’s become one of Sydney’s most forward-thinking restaurants, where ethical sourcing, low waste and local produce are all part of the experience. Not only do they talk the talk and walk the walk  – they’ve racked up some serious accolades too, including the award for Best NSW Wine List in the 2023 NSW Sommelier's Wine List Awards. If this place sounds up your alley, May is the time to book in to try it.

Tokyo Taco

What do you get if you cross Japanese with Mexican cuisine? Say hola to Tokyo Taco, Newtown’s vibrant fusion joint where tacos come wrapped in crispy nori shells instead of tortillas. Flavours are punchy  – think Japanese-style “tacos” packed with miso-baked salmon, smoky soy chicken and build-your-own options. Thanks to AEDMO, you’ve got the perfect excuse to try one of everything (and maybe go back for seconds) this May.

Osteria di Russo & Russo

If you’re looking for Italian-inspired food where the music’s on vinyl and the crowd is loud and local, Osteria di Russo & Russo is always a good time. While from outside the little lace curtains in the front window at Russo and Russo don’t give much away, inside the warmly lit venue is reminiscent of an old-school trattoria. The menu is full of hits, but don’t even think about skipping the tiramisu della Nonna – it's a one-way ticket to Italy. Stop by this May for a discount on your bill.
