Live la dolce vita when a dozen of Sydney’s favourite Italian restaurants and bars converge in the one place – Glenmore Road, Paddington, FYI – for a village-style street party that’ll have you eating and drinking like it’s the first time you’ve seen nonna in a year.
Bacco Osteria e Espresso, Buon Ricordo, Cipri, Verde, and Molo are just some of the young and old Italian dining institutions that’ll be cooking up their best primi, secondi and contorni all evening. Drinks stay loyal to the theme – there’ll be Negronis and Limoncello aplenty, plus Italian beers served by Nomad Brewery.
Woollahra Council’s also sending out their best library staff to teach kids about commedia dell’arte, one of the oldest forms of professional theatre, complete with songs, stories and mask making.
Of course it’s no street party without dancing and music, which is where DJs the Franchi Brothers come in, although we hear there’ll also be opera performed on the night – this party really has everything.
