Time Out says

It’s back for another full day of music, art, community, diversity and darn good times

Garden Street in Marrickville will be closing down again this summer for the return of the Heaps Gay Street Party. The overachieving line-up features US rapper Cakes Da Killa, Berlin-based electro duo MEGA Ω MEGA, plus over 20 local DJs including Touch Sensitive and Okenyo.

This year they’re adding a second stage in partnership with Koori Radio that’ll spotlight Indigenous world music, plus drag performances by Nana Miss Koori and Destiny Haz Arrived and installations from local artists.

All that dancing will be fuelled by food and drink from a raft of Inner West favourites, including Bloodwood, Porteno, Continental Deli, Young Henrys and Two Boys in Saris.

And if all that wasn’t enough good news, they’ve even found a way to make booking fees good – by getting Moshtix to donate them to Moogahlin Performing Arts.
