Where to watch the US election in Sydney

If you too are experiencing nausea-inducing anxiety about today's US presidential election results you may as well ride it out in company, preferably with drinks and sustenance in plentiful supply. Fortunately for you, these Sydney venues are screening the coverage and results live, so that you can drink and stress eat until a winner is called.  

The Lord Gladstone

This Chippo fave is showing the election on the big screen and pitching a burger battle into the bargain. They're serving the Trump Tower with double beef, double cheese, pickles, hash browns, fries, chili beef, and ezy cheese, and the Clinton Cheeseburger, made with fried chicken breast, triple cheese, sriracha hot sauce, pickles, onion, lettuce. Both are $10 and available from noon.

Down on South King Street the Newtown Social Club is screening the live coverage results of the US Presidential election campaign from 10am until 4pm, with commentary from the in-house master of musings and weekly trivia host Richard Cuthbert. Fuel your anxiety with a Bad Hombre burger deal that includes a classic American cheeseburger (or veg burger) and a tinnie of Tecate.

Democrats Abroad, an official part of the US Democratic Party, is hosting an Election Day Watch event at the Morrison Hotel from 10am until 6pm today. They'll be screening the results as they roll in and downing American snacks and drinks all day long to calm their nerves.
