Alone in the Wilderness by Virginia Overton
Time Out says
Alone in the Wilderness is New York-based artist Virginia Overton's first solo exhibition in Asia. Salvaging materials that are part ready-mades and altering their purpose and function, Overton's sculptures are made from objects and elements she comes across in her immediate environment. With this new collection of sculpture and works on paper, Overton explores the histories embedded in these materials, as well as the narratives it takes on as they are given a new lease of life in an alternative context.
