Chun Yan: Harbour Life

To Chun Yan, there’s something peaceful and innocent about the blue sea and the harbour views. Presenting a large collection of oil and watercolour paintings for this exhibition, enjoy scenes of European harbours inspired by Chun’s travels in Europe, as well as scenes of the Chinese harbour of Qingdao. Digging a little deeper, Chun’s paintings touch on a range of subject matters from complex notions of birth, life, death, illusion and reality, while other pieces are tributes to artists she admires including Botero or Velazquez.
