Richard Streitmatter-Tran showcases new works alongside 40 historically significant pieces by Vietnamese contemporary artists
A curated selection of contemporary and modern Vietnamese art can be found at this exhibition. Ho Chi Minh City-based contemporary artist Richard Streitmatter-Tran is showcasing his new pieces alongside a collection of forty artworks by artists who have played a part in modern Vietnamese art in the pre and post-war era, which include names like Le Pho, Le QuangTinh, and Trinh Van. Also at the exhibition: the works of their French mentors Victor Tardieu and Evariste Jonchère.
Across a range of mediums including watercolor on silk, unfired clay, sound, iron and cake, this collection offers new perspectives on historically significant work from Vietnam’s first generation of modern artists.
