Design gallery Maison Huit has invited Ms Yuki Futami, a Nihoncha Instructor Association (Japan) certified tea instructor, who also serves as the NIAJ Tea Ambassador in Hong Kong, to lead a matcha workshop on June 27.
Learn how to talk about the aroma, taste, and texture of matcha tea, pick up some basic tea-related Japanese vocabulary, and appreciate the intricacies of tea culture. Participants will also get to prepare their own authentic bowl of matcha under the guidance of Ms Futami.
Entry to the workshop is priced at $580 per head. Bookings can be made by emailing Maison Huit or calling 2520 0281.
In order to adhere to government regulations, all groups will be placed 1.5m apart from each other or separated by screens. Masks will be required to be worn at all times, and may only be removed during the tea tasting. All equipment will also be thoroughly sanitized before the event.
