Founded by Dr Christina Dean in 2007, Redress is Asia’s first environmental charity that focuses on sustainable fashion. Over the years, this non-profit organisation has held various workshops, fashion shows and clothes drives to educate future designers and consumers about fashion’s environmental impact. For example, the Redress Design Award is held every year to not only provide a platform for designers to showcase their talents but also highlights the importance of sustainable design. Redress is also part of the 1% For The Planet community, which is a partnership of over 1,100 companies in 48 countries that give one percent of their sales to environmental causes.
The location in Sham Shui Po offers a sustainable hub to support Redress projects and to hold exhibitions, workshops, intimate events, and pop-up shops for Redress Design Award Alumni.
