Todd James: Stay Golden
Time Out says
New York street artist Todd James presents his signature childlike paintings as a commentary on the negative facades of society.
New York contemporary street artist Todd James, otherwise known as Reas, showcases his colourful canvases that feature loose lines and forms reminiscent of children’s doodles. His works juxtapose the innocent and the familiar through a cartoon filter, with a tongue-in-cheek criticism of contemporary society thanks to images like a tank smoking a cigarette and anthropomorphic fighter jets flying around children.
